Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, and a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist works intra operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgeon environment for the patients. The Surgical Technologist will perform as a team member for the common good of the patient take responsibility for personal action.

Education:High school graduate or Certification from national association of surgical technologist

Certification from National Association of Surgical Technologist required

CPR certification required (must obtain within 2 months of hire) Experience:— One year experience in a main operating room within the last two years preferred— Basic knowledge of scrub role— Handling of instruments, set up, anticipates surgeons needs— Knowledge of autoclaves— Transporting patients
