Building Construction Products in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking students currently enrolled in North Carolina State University, to work side by side with supply chain professionals at Caterpillar.
Interns are empowered with assignments that provide them with relevant work experience and significant opportunities for learning. In addition to this work, interns are encouraged to network with leaders and team members throughout the company to explore areas of Caterpillar outside of their assigned team.
Fall Supply Chain Co-Op Session: August 2026 - December 2026
This is a 40 hour per week assignment. Applicants will be considered for on-site co-ops at locations in Cary, Clayton, and Sanford.
Compensation and Benefits:
At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account the following factors: the number of completed semester credit hours and whether the internship is considered an engineering, technical, or non-technical role. For Graduate level opportunities, the pay rate is determined by the type of degree you are pursuing (Master's or Doctorate) post receiving an undergraduate degree.
The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Those interested in joining the Supply Chain Co-Op must meet the following requirements for further consideration:
  • Must be enrolled full time at North Carolina State University in one of the following degree programs at the time of application and throughout the program:

- Business Administration/Management with a focus/minor in Supply Chain, Statistics, Math or Logistics -Industrial Distribution - Industrial Engineering/Technology - Logistics - Operations Management - Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)

  • If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
  • Must be within commutable distance to Cary, Clayton, or Sanford, North Carolina (No more than 50 miles)
  • Must have reliable transportation

Top Candidates will also possess:
  • Leadership involvement in campus organizations, community service and/or extracurricular activities

  • Previous co-op, internship, or experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or operations industry
  • Relevant coursework and/or projects
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exhibit of critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative

Summary Pay Range:
$25.00 - $43.00
Intern Hourly Rate:
An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
