Job Description Summary
Graduate Assistant - Access, Connections, and Engagement (ACE) Office
Division of Student Affairs - Marshall University
The Graduate Assistant for the Access, Connections, and Engagement (ACE) Office supports programs, services, and initiatives that promote student success, active participation, and connection to the campus and surrounding community. Working closely with professional staff, the Graduate Assistant assists in planning, coordinating, and evaluating events, workshops, and outreach efforts that link students to campus resources, local opportunities, and networks that strengthen their academic and personal development. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in student affairs, program development, and student engagement while contributing to the ACE Office's mission of fostering strong connections and enhancing the Marshall student experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing ACE Office events, workshops, and activities.
  • Support outreach efforts to connect students with campus resources and community opportunities.
  • Maintain and update ACE Office communications, including email, flyers, and social media content.
  • Collect and analyze data for program assessment and improvement.
  • Mentor and guide undergraduate student staff and volunteers.
  • Provide front-line support for students visiting the ACE Center, answering questions and connecting them to services.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to enhance awareness of ACE Office programs.
  • Assist with office organization, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
  • Represent the ACE Office at campus and community events as needed.
  • Will be working 50% with Global Education
