Student Assistant for the Keys Clinic (Fall)
Job no: 493910

Position Introduction:
The primary responsibilities would include:
Verifying patient insurance eligibility and active coverage prior to appointments.
Reviewing available benefits for scheduled services.
Determining whether prior authorization, referral, or other payer requirements are needed.
Assisting with submission and tracking of authorization requests under staff supervision.
Following up on pending insurance or authorization items.
Accurately documenting verification and authorization information in the appropriate clinic system.
Identifying incomplete or unclear information and escalating issues appropriately.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Suggested qualifications would include:
  • Current enrollment as a graduate student in good academic standing.
