The Graduate Rn Residency Program is a structured transition program for new nursing graduates, focusing on skill development and mentorship. In contrast, a Registered Nurse is a licensed professional providing direct patient care. The residency program prepares nurses for independent practice, while RNs are already practicing professionals.
