Responsibilities
  • Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Mentor graduate students.
  • Contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service.
Required Experience

For Associate Professor rank: At least 7 years of prior academic experience with a strong record of research productivity, including publications in topโ€‘tier journals and successful grantmanship.

Required Education

Earned doctorate in Nutrition or a related discipline with an emphasis on human health.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Evidence of research productivity in areas such as chronic disease prevention/treatment, lifecycle nutrition, international nutrition, community nutrition, informatics, public health, or sports nutrition.
  • Experience teaching nutritionโ€‘related courses at the college level.
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Experience working with accredited programs in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
