Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Student Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Graduate Assistant will assist in the management and implementation of the Lewis University Club Sports program with an emphasis on Club Hockey (3 teams)
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and respectful support of the University's Mission in Catholic and LaSallian higher education.
-Provide practice and game supervision and presence at Sport Club home events.
-Assist with marketing initiatives and growth strategies for Sport Clubs.
-Assist with Sport Club team travel when needed (includes driving to away -games/tournaments)
-Assist with leadership development of Sport Club officers.
-Assist with the coordination of club sport training and risk management.
-Assist with the collection and tracking of all team paperwork (rosters, waivers, travel etc)
-Assist with the development of sport club promotional materials including brochures, postcards, flyers, and newsletter material updates.
-Assist with organization, inventory and maintenance of all Club Sports equipment and supplies.
-Assist with the coordination of facilities, athletic trainers, event staff, weekly practices and competitions for Club Sport teams.
-Assist with the development of a leadership development in-service program for Club Leaders.
-Participate in Student Services and other University meetings as deemed necessary.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree, CPR and First Aid Certification. Must be enrolled and make satisfactory progress in a graduate program at Lewis University. Must have strong initiative, leadership skills, oral/written skills and interpersonal skills.
