  • Develop and maintain membership for Legacy's Wellness Program
  • Perform and document StayFit services with residents following company's policy and procedures under guidance of the Rehabilitation Director/Area Rehab Director.
  • Provide personal fitness through Legacy's StayFit program and completes required billing and documentation.
  • Deliver StayFit treatment plans in accordance with Legacy's programs. Fitness plans will be developed to improve health, fitness levels, and meet the members' fitness goals.
  • Provide group fitness and wellness services through our LiveWell Program.
  • Meets efficiency standard as set by company.

This individual will play a vital role in promoting wellness, independence, and overall functionality among our senior resident population.  The Personal Fitness trainer / Rehab Tech will provide a fun and challenging experience, and will discuss, motivate, and teach the fitness member to improve and maintain their fitness and strength. The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech is responsible for identifying goals, delivering tailored exercise plans for personal fitness and group sessions in accordance with Legacy's program structure.  The Personal Fitness Trainer / Rehab Tech will assist with marketing the StayFit program to increase membership.

Position requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • College graduate preferred with bachelor's degree in related field of study such as exercise science, kinesiology, etc.
  • Personal training or group fitness certification - nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred or willing to attain (i.e. ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
  • Preferred 1+ year personal training or group fitness experience
  • Previous experience with senior population desirable.
  • Customer service skills to deliver an exemplary experience.
  • CPR/AED Certification must be current and
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
