Job SummaryXavier University of Louisiana is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our Graduate Admissions team as the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions. In this role, you will lead efforts to attract high-quality graduate students to Xavier University of Louisiana, with a specific focus on programs in Education and Health. AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in graduate admissions, recruitment, or related field.
- Experience using a CRM or admissions management system (such as Slate) to manage prospective student communication, application review, and recruitment tracking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events and activities.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally for recruitment activities, including overnight and multi-day trips, representing the university at graduate fairs, conferences, and partner institutions.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of graduate programs in Education and Health fields preferred.
- Experience with admissions management systems and data analysis tools preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description - Recruitment Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract prospective graduate students to Xavier University of Louisiana, including targeted outreach efforts, recruitment events, and promotional campaigns.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective students, community organizations, and other stakeholders to increase awareness of Xavier's graduate programs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in graduate admissions and utilize this knowledge to inform recruitment strategies.
- Conduct virtual recruitment initiatives including webinars, virtual information sessions, and digital outreach campaigns to engage prospective graduate students.
- Contribute to graduate enrollment targets by managing a recruitment pipeline and monitoring application, admit, and enrollment trends.
- Application Processing:
- Manage the admissions process for graduate programs, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making admissions decisions in alignment with university policies and program requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to prospective students throughout the application process, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to applicant information, admissions decisions, and recruitment activities using the university's admissions management system.
- Events and Outreach:
- Plan and coordinate recruitment events, such as information sessions, open houses, and virtual fairs, to engage prospective students and showcase Xavier University of Louisiana's graduate programs.
- Represent Xavier University of Louisiana at graduate school fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop marketing materials and digital content to promote graduate programs and attract prospective students.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and staff across campus to coordinate recruitment efforts and ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to recruitment and admissions activities to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular updates and presentations for senior leadership on recruitment initiatives and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with colleges, professional organizations, and community partners to build pipelines into Xavier's graduate programs.
