Spark Developer

Levels: Intermediate and Senior No of positions: Multiple Location: Sunnyvale, CA Max salary: $115-120k. Non contract resumes. It has to be full time.

Job Description:

  • ~ 5 to 8 years of overall experience as a developer.
  • Strong background in Java programming.
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on Spark expertise.
  • Experience with Hadoop – including in-depth understanding of internals of Hadoop, Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, Sqoop.
  • Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs and expertise in performance tuning of SQLs / Hive queries.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful Web Services and Spring Framework.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented (OO) and Microservices design.

Desirable:

  • Kafka experience.
  • Soft skills: Should have strong verbal & written communication skills. Experience in developing automated test scripts to help with regression testing sharp troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues quickly. Should be able think out of the box, drives for excellence and is self-motivated.
  • Education: Preferably an undergraduate or graduate level degree in computer science / engineering, IT, Electronics / Electrical engineering, Applied Mathematics or any relevant technical field
