Interns will be introduced to UMass Memorial and the variety of experiences and careers we have to offer and will also have the opportunity to network with other students interested in a rewarding career in health care.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Under direct supervision performs a variety of projects or one large project in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures. This position is for a graduate college level student who is hired to support management with projects plans and related activities. May require taking a lead role in a project or working on a team that is leading project. Receives project guidelines/instructions from management and delivers within the scope of their responsibility a finalized product.
2. Participates in department activities as required and provides support as needed which may include analysis and research.

1. Some areas may require a student to be enrolled in a graduate school program
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Ability to work well with public and staff, and as a team member.
2. Requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstration of emerging leadership skills.
4. Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
5. Good research skills and willingness to learn new skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail and produce high-quality work is a must.
6. Must have good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
