What We Offer

Clinical Nurse Educator – Adult Acute Care (Medical/Surgical)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Clinical Nurse Educator – Adult Acute Care is a key member of the clinical education team and supports the ongoing development of nursing staff across Adult Acute Care Medical-Surgical units. This role promotes clinical excellence through education, mentorship, and staff development while fostering a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and training to Adult Acute Care nursing staff.

  • Lead new hire orientation, onboarding, and competency validation.

  • Develop and update educational materials and learning resources.

  • Mentor and support new graduate nurses, preceptors, and staff members.

  • Round on assigned units to provide bedside education and clinical support.

  • Assist with the implementation of new policies, procedures, equipment, and evidence-based practices.

  • Support go-live initiatives and department education projects.

  • Collaborate with nurse leaders and educators across the health system to ensure consistent educational practices.

  • Promote evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives.

  • Facilitate continuing education and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Graduate degree preferred; MSN preferred.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Adult Acute Care or Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.

  • RN professional certification in a relevant specialty required within six (6) months of hire.

  • Previous education, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred.
