Job description

Position Details:
This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Math, Engineering and Physics Department and reports to the Department Chair.Responsibilities:
This is a part-time faculty position. Expectations for this position include teaching two college level Engineering courses in the Spring Semester that are four credit hours each, Statics and Dynamics. Both of these courses are offered four days per week (Monday - Thursday) in an eight-week format. These courses could be taught in a hybrid format (partially face to face and partially on-line) and will require the use of instructional technology in and out of the classroom. Engineering faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's Degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in Engineering is required. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience. Candidates for this position should have a mastery of Engineering and have a commitment to excellence in teaching.Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.

All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment. An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
