Specifically, they will be asked to learn, analyze, and utilize our data to solve problems and answer questions that lead us to better serve our customers. These duties will often require the ability to visualize or contextualize raw data, train, evaluate, and deploy various types of modeling techniques, and communicate the resulting trends and observations. Additionally, the Data Scientist Intern may be asked to help facilitate the curation of our data upstream from the work described above, making the actual analysis and modeling of the data possible. This work would still require the foresight of how the data will eventually be utilized to ensure it is made available in the most advantageous way possible. Ideally, the Data Scientist Intern would gain the knowledge and experience necessary to be transitioned into a full-time Data Scientist role as soon as they prove to be ready, and the opportunity presents itself.
