Job description

Job Summary The Chemistry Program within the School of Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) is seeking an innovative individual to teach chemistry undergraduate courses starting Fall 2026. The School of Sciences offers a bachelor's degree in chemistry with concentrations in biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, and forensic chemistry. Duties and Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semester.

Advise students and maintain records of student progress. Assist in all areas of program improvement, including participation in curriculum development, evaluation, and assessment. Actively participate in recruitment for the Chemistry degree program.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be passionate about teaching undergraduates. Candidates should have at least a master's degree in chemistry or related field with a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate chemistry coursework.

Qualifications include: Innovative pedagogical approaches to teaching undergraduates from diverse backgrounds Coursework and/or experience in chemistry or related field Effective oral and written communication skills
