Job description


The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting
Perform physically demanding tasks
Professionally represent GFL and provide exceptional service to all clients
Participate in GFL's safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License
General safety knowledge, experience and awareness
H2S, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest required prior to start date
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high labour intensity tasks in a team environment
Positive, self-motivated attitude
