Position Summary
The Assistant Wrestling Coach will assist in coaching Doane's wrestling team founded on ethical values and a culture of compliance following all applicable rules and regulations (GPAC and NAIA). The ability to effectively supervise and develop student workers and one or more assistant coaches will be a key part of succeeding in this role.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree/equivalent experience considered, plus two (2) years playing or coaching at the college level. Experience must demonstrate:
  • Effective leadership of the team and the wrestling program.
  • The ability to effectively recruit and retain student-athletes
  • Excellent knowledge of the sport
  • An outstanding ability to teach the sport to student-athletes and to adapt coaching methods to accommodate athletes
  • Strong organizational skills for planning and scheduling training sessions and competitions
  • The ability to represent Doane University in a positive and effective manner
