Job description

Position Title:  Graduate Assistant Coach - Women's Basketball

Department:  Athletics

A Graduate Assistant Coach is expected to affirm and model the Christ-centered mission of Warner University and the Athletic Department. The Graduate Assistant coach must be committed to modeling Christ and leading by example in the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

The Graduate Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Coach or Associate Head Coach of the selected sport and is responsible for assisting in all areas of the program. The GA will also have athletic department and student life responsibilities, as described during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Supportive of Warner’s mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, be conscientious and reliable, with an aptitude for creative problem solving.

  • Acceptance into a WU full-time graduate program.

Ethical Responsibilities:

The Graduate Assistant Coach, as a member of the Athletic Department, agrees to represent the University in an honorable and ethical manner to the best of his/her ability. Standards of ethical conduct for athletic department staff are established and enforced by the Athletic Director, Warner University, the SUN Conference and the NAIA.
