About Property:

Located just minutes from the beach and coastline of South Carolina, our state-of-the-art complex offers nine replica fields of historic Major League ballparks, each featuring unique field dimensions and playing experiences every game. Accompanied by multiple batting cages, bullpens, and training facilities, The Ripken Experience® Myrtle Beach is sure to make you feel like a Big Leaguer once you enter the gates.

Position Summary:
As an impactful Intern and asset to the team, you will be responsible for assisting with all phases of Tournaments, All–Ripken Games and Event Operations at The Ripken Experience Myrtle Beach, as well as potentially other Ripken complexes. We will be happy to work with your school to assist you in securing any required college credits for your successful completion of the program. This internship will run from February 9, 2027 - May 2, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of all programming at a world class facility
  • Learn 'The Ripken Way' from those who have created and implemented the standards and practices to operate the highest quality tournaments in the nation
  • Create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for event participants, developing camaraderie, and acting as a positive role model
  • Assist in coordinating and executing the operations of other programming for Ripken Baseball
  • Gain knowledge and skills in management and coaching while also working independently to assist with facility operations
  • Announce college and high school baseball and high school softball games (reading player names and advertisements), play music, run the scoreboard, relay messages to the Tournament Director, and work on our operations team with tasks around the complex
  • Assist in weekly facility maintenance and facility upkeep at a world-class complex
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
  • Collaborate with staff members from various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company. Learn from departmental representatives and gain insights into their functions and operations
  • Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand
  • Communicate with coaches and parents before and after tournaments to provide an elevated experience for young athletes
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
  • Be considered for other Ripken Baseball opportunities at the conclusion of the internship, based on performance
