Job description

Some of what you will do:

The Staples Technology team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems Analyst, Warehouse Management System to join our organization. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering stable, high-quality systems that support our distribution center operations across Canada.

This role works closely with project teams and cross-functional partners to implement and support Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (WM Active) within Staples distribution centers. The Systems Analyst will be involved in system configuration, testing, and integration with ERP and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems, while partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver project and ongoing support requirements.

Day-to-day activities include configuring WMS solutions based on business requirements, participating in testing and UAT, supporting training activities, and providing ongoing system support to drive process improvement and operational stability. A successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS or other COTS WMS platforms, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs while recommending appropriate system enhancements.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Responsible for delivering Manhattan Active WM (WMS, LM, Slotting) configuration in alignment with the project timeline
  • Responsible for integration mapping with ERP Systems and MHE Systems
  • Participate in testing, UAT & training support.
  • Be able to react quickly to changing business needs and provide recommendations for appropriate system enhancements.ย 
  • Work closely with the Product vendor and other 3rd. party vendors in delivering project and support requirements.ย  ย 
  • Responsible for Staples related customization including SCI reporting, LM and WM reports, Packing slip and Labels.

Some of what you need:

  • Post-secondary education in related Engineering, business, or science/technologyย  ย 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of progressive experience in a Programmer/Analyst and/or Project Lead role.
  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Cope well under pressure.
  • 1 to 3 yearsย direct experience in Manhattan WMS/ other COTS WMS Packageย or recent graduate
  • Able to configure and deliver solution based on business requirement

Office environment - Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
