Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role includes operating dozers, excavators, and finish equipment on a variety of construction projects. Candidates must be proficient with both GPS-controlled and non-GPS equipment and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and finish graders safely and efficiently
  • Perform fine grading, site preparation, and earthwork to meet project specifications
  • Utilize GPS machine control systems for precision grading (where applicable)
  • Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and project specifications
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Work closely with site supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines are met
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (dozer, excavator, finish equipment)
  • Experience with GPS and non-GPS equipment required
  • Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site development
  • Ability to read blueprints and grade stakes
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Topcon, or similar GPS systems
  • Previous work on commercial or large-scale civil construction projects
