Primary Function:
Supervision of assigned students and assistance in the facilitation of the instructional program as directed.
Requirements:
Educational Level: Appropriate 2 yr. degree or posting a passing score on the Paraprofessional Licensing Test.
Certification/Licensing: Valid Paraprofessional or eligible (Appropriate 2 yr. degree or posting a passing score on the Paraprofessional Licensing Test) .
Proficiency Skills: Written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of effective instructional techniques and strategies. Demonstration of fair and equitable classroom management skills.
Personal Skills: Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills, ability to lift a student up to a weight of 40 LBS without assistance, ability to perform a two person lift for students over 60 LBS (lumbar support belt required) and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: CCSS Classified Salary Schedule FY27 - A08, 190 days (Start pay $15.00/hr- max pay $22.71) Steps awarded with verifiable experience

23. Enhances the climate of the building and the morale of colleagues.
24. Assists teacher with hygiene, nutrition, medical and other tasks as needed in the care of students with needs.
25. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend down to assist children, assist children that may not want to be helped. Must be able to pull, push, and lift.
