Job description

As a Scraper Operator, you will play a key role on the Baranko Brothers team, responsible for operating scraper equipment on a variety of earthwork and construction projects across western North Dakota and surrounding areas. You will work closely with experienced operators and field crews to move, spread, and grade material efficiently. Your responsibilities will include mass excavation, site preparation, grading, and material haul operations, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and equipment care. This position supports successful earthwork operations across both rural and urban job sites.
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Safely and efficiently operate scraper equipment to load, haul, spread, and grade materials according to project specifications and site plans.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist with site preparation, mass excavation, and material transport activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and schedules.
  • Complete additional related duties as assigned to support overall job site operations, including operating other heavy equipment when required.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in operating scraper equipment and related earthmoving machinery
  • Extensive knowledge of scraper operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, instructions, and blueprints.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this position
