Saint Anselm School in Chesterland is seeking a caring, energetic, and faith-filled Long-Term First Grade Substitute Teacher to join our Elementary Team-2026-2027 School Year, September-December.
Job Description and Responsibilities: Long-Term First Grade Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing consistent, high-quality instruction and classroom management during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth, maintaining communication with families and staff, maintaining progress reports, conducting parent teacher conferences, and creating a positive and structured learning environment for first-grade students. Responsibilities also include: differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, maintain classroom routines, procedures, and behavior expectations, and collaborate with team teachers and school personnel.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education; valid State of Ohio license (current and active license); possess or be willing to obtain the required religion certification for the Diocese of Cleveland; complete BCI and FBI background checks, and Virtus training.
