Organization Overview
UMD Dining Services provides diverse and high-quality dining options across campus, including Superior Dining, our all-you-care-to-eat residential dining center, and a Food Court with five unique concepts-Subs & Wraps, Burgers, Pizza, Burritos, and Grab & Go. We also operate Northern Shores Coffee Shop, two dining kiosks, and a full-service restaurant, along with catering services for campus events. Dining Services focuses on providing diverse food options, sustainability efforts, and quality service to the campus community.
Job Duties
Custodial Work:
  • Floor Cleaning in all Dining Services areas including commercial kitchen settings
  • Scrub and sanitize restrooms, shower rooms and locker areas, using approved cleaning agents
    and procedures.
  • Collect and empty trash and pick up recycling and transport to the proper pick up site. Keep trash containers clean.
  • Setting up and moving furniture for university functions
  • Observe deficiencies in building hardware, doors, windows, fixtures, etc., and write maintenance requests for repair.
  • Know and follow safety procedures and policies in everyday work. Use protective equipment.
  • Monitor radio/telephone or pager and respond to trouble calls.
