Essential Job Duties
This position provides independent, comprehensive student and administrative services for the graduate programs that operate with the Graduate School as their academic organization. The role supports students from recruitment through graduation, ensuring compliance with departmental, Graduate School, and university policies.
The person in this position exercises judgment in interpreting policies, resolving moderately complex student issues, and advising faculty and students on procedural requirements in consultation with Directors of Graduate Programs (DGPs) and Graduate School Administration. The position collaborates with several graduate programs , faculty, and campus partners to support student success and program operations.
Other Responsibilities
Additional administrative responsibilities as assigned to support program operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret and apply Graduate School and university policies while independently managing admissions, onboarding, registration, degree progress, and graduation processes.
  • Skill in addressing student issues, identifying solutions, and exercising sound judgment in non-routine situations with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to track student progress across multiple systems, maintain accurate records, analyze student and alumni data, and perform all web-based administrative procedures.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex policy information, guide faculty and students through procedural requirements, and collaborate effectively with campus partners.
  • Skill in coordinating admissions workflows, HR onboarding steps, course scheduling, and financial tasks while managing multiple priorities across programs
