Job Summary:
We're looking for a motivated and driven Technology Solutions Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for promoting and selling advanced machine guidance and positioning technologies to contractors, equipment owners, and construction companies.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis:
1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Identifies new business opportunities by prospecting and building relationships with contractors, construction firms, and equipment dealers.
  • Provides technical sales support, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations to customers.
  • Manages customer relationships, from initial engagement to post-sale support, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Develops customized proposals, pricing, and configurations for machine guidance and positioning solutions.
  • Collaborates with Technical Solutions Engineers, Product Specialists, and vendor partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Coordinates customer training and onboarding for machine guidance systems and ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.
  • Maintains accurate sales records, customer data, and pipeline opportunities in CRM systems.
  • Represents the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Manages and maintains company-provided assets, including demo equipment, vehicles, and technology tools.
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction levels, laser, distance measuring equipment, survey products and their uses.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long term business relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, technical manuals or government regulations.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn, demonstrate, and explain complex technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build long-term customer trust.
  • Ability to deliver presentations, lead product demonstrations, and conduct customer training.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required.
  • Proven sales experience in the heavy construction industry or related technology/equipment sectors.
  • Strong aptitude with 2D Laser & 3D GPS Machine Control and Guidance Systems, as well as Site Positioning Systems.

Travel:
Extensive driving and overnight travel required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary positions in a vehicle.
  • Requires outside activities and walking around construction sites.
  • Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing steps, and loading materials from a company provided sales vehicle.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Work Environment:
This job is generally performed in the field on job sites, construction offices, and warehouse environment.
Exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold and inclement weather conditions.
Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
