What You Will Do
As a Tourism Information Associate, you will serve as a point of contact at the Carroll County Visitors Center, providing information to visitors and maintaining an up-to-date registry and brochure supply of local tourism opportunities in Carroll County. Reporting to the Tourism Manager, you will compile records, organize information, and prepare packets for distribution. The work you do will connect visitors with local tourism opportunities.
Essential Duties
  • Act as a point of contact for the Visitors Center, answering phone calls and providing information to visitors.
  • Maintain logbook and keep an up-to-date visitor registry that can be converted to a mailing list.
  • Acquire and maintain informational materials related to local tourism opportunities.
  • Respond to requests and assemble packets of literature on Carroll County for distribution.
  • File documents and maintain paper and computer records management/file systems.
  • Prepare packets for tour groups. Perform tour guide responsibilities, as needed.
  • Provide support and assistance with special events.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
  • Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.
  • Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
