Senior Java Developer Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Remote
Contract: Long-Term Contract 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST
Government Experience: Prior state government experience within the last 5 years requiredPosition Highlights
  • Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of the eXPRS application.

  • Work with Java, J2EE, IBM DB2 UDB, and Eclipse in an enterprise application environment.

  • Participate in Agile Scrum development using Azure DevOps.

  • Support application modernization, defect resolution, performance improvements, and UI enhancements.

  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and provide knowledge transfer to the development team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, document, and maintain enhancements and code changes for the eXPRS application.

  • Analyze and resolve application defects, operational requests, and change requests.

  • Develop solutions for application, database, reporting, performance, and user-interface requirements.

  • Work with business owners, technical architects, developers, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and document technical solutions.

  • Participate in Scrum meetings, sprint planning, demonstrations, testing, issue tracking, and knowledge-transfer activities.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience with J2EE.

  • 10+ years of experience with Java.

  • 10+ years of experience with IBM DB2 UDB.

  • 10+ years of experience with Eclipse.

  • Prior state government experience within the last 5 years.

  • 1–3 years of eXPRS Application Development experience.

  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, SQL/PL/SQL/T-SQL, debugging, testing, and application maintenance.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong technical documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
