What are Government Remote Video Editors?

Government Remote Video Editors are professionals who work for government agencies or departments to create, edit, and produce video content while working remotely. Their responsibilities typically include assembling raw footage, adding graphics or subtitles, and ensuring the final product aligns with the agency’s communication goals and compliance standards. They often collaborate with public information officers, communications teams, and subject matter experts to create videos for public awareness, training, or internal communications. Remote work enables them to fulfill these duties from locations outside traditional government offices, using secure digital platforms and video editing software.

What are some common challenges faced by government remote video editors, and how can they be addressed?

Government remote video editors often encounter challenges such as managing sensitive or confidential footage, adhering to strict branding and accessibility guidelines, and collaborating with team members across various departments. To address these, it is important to establish secure file-sharing protocols, stay updated on government communication standards, and use collaborative editing tools that support version control and feedback. Proactive communication and regular check-ins with project managers and other stakeholders also help ensure that deadlines and expectations are met efficiently.

Job description

VIDEO EDITOR (PAID MEDIA)

at IncubatorLab Remote - Worldwide

Incubator Lab is looking for a talented Video Editor to join our thriving team!

Role Objective:

As a Video Editor at IncubatorLab.ai, you will edit short-form paid social ads designed to drive performance across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is ideal for editors who understand performance-first creative, work quickly, and iterate effectively based on feedback and results.

What You'll Do:

  • Edit short-form paid social video ads
  • Iterate on creative based on performance insights
  • Apply best practices around hooks, pacing, clarity, and CTAs
  • Collaborate asynchronously with Creative Strategists and Growth teams
  • Maintain quality and consistency across high-volume output

Requirements we are looking for:

  • 2+ years experience specializing strictly in direct-to-consumer (D2C) and e-commerce video editing.
  • Must present a portfolio showcasing high-performing paid social ad creatives and conversion-focused assets explicitly built for e-commerce brands.
  • Proven track record editing for health, wellness, and supplement brands.
  • Deeply proficient with generative AI video suites, specifically demonstrating portfolio work that features AI animations, advanced asset generation, and highly engaging talking-head enhancements.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
  • Working knowledge of After Effects
  • Strong fundamentals in pacing, color correction, audio mixing, and music selection
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Comfort working remotely in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours: Async-First We are a global, remote team. We don't care when you do the work, provided deadlines are met and the quality is top-tier. We do ask for a few hours of overlap with US-based EST working hours each day to facilitate team meetings and Slack communication. This ensures we stay agile and can iterate on winning ads in real-time.

HOW TO APPLY

We value high-retention storytelling over cinematic flair. To be considered, please submit a link to your portfolio or reel specifically highlighting your work with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer), UGC-style, or Direct Response video ads.

We are particularly interested in seeing:

  • The First 3 Seconds: Examples of aggressive, scroll-stopping hooks that immediately grab attention.
  • UGC Integration: Proof that you can take raw, "low-fi" phone footage and edit it into a high-converting, native-feeling social ad.
  • Pacing & Retention: Ads that demonstrate a mastery of "pattern interrupts"-using captions, zooms, and sound design to keep viewers engaged until the CTA.
  • Iteration Ability: If possible, show us two versions of the same ad where you tested different hooks or visual styles.

Note: We are specifically looking for a "Performance Creative" reel-please do not send long-form documentaries, wedding films, or cinematic shorts. We want to see fast-paced, high-retention, short-form ads that drive conversions.

Bonus points if you include a link to a TikTok or Reel you've edited that went viral.

What's atypical about the company:

Incubator Labs is a performance-focused growth organization that builds and scales brands

through rapid experimentation, creative iteration, and disciplined execution. We operate as an

internal growth engine, not an agency.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should apply directly for consideration. Upon submitting your application, our hiring team will review your credentials and will notify you if you are selected to participate in the interview process. We appreciate your interest in IncubatorLab and kindly ask that you refrain from inquiries to our teams via LinkedIn.

No third party or agency submissions will be accepted
