We are currently seeking a Program Manager in support of Program Management for the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) for the Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation customer located in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will work across multiple customer leads and technical teams to plan and track projects. Candidates should possess a mix of technical and managerial skills. The primary focus of this position is working alongside senior Government customers to hire and manage employees to perform duties as assigned.

*Please note this is a contingent offer upon award of effort.


Duties:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for work related to the program both technical and administrative
  • Manage organization of GaN employees and subcontractors
  • Frequently engages with customers and staff in order to plan and track all work
  • Develops project plans as needed and tracks progress until delivery
  • Contributes to the development of project management strategies and processes
  • Develop resource management plans and controls program cost
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures where appropriate
  • Assists in managing changes associated to projects
  • Communicates pertinent information and requirements to staff both customer and corporate
  • Ensure quality on all deliverables
  • Perform all manpower and staffing actions
  • Analyzes program risk, develops, and implements mitigation strategies

Qualities:

  • PEO Aviation Experience a must, preferably within SRD
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work independently
  • Good understanding of Government contracting


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • PMP desired
