Overview
Responsible for all components of Endeavor Air's Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and FAA rules and regulations pertaining to drug and alcohol program design and implementation.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement company-wide Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program.
  • Conduct all tasks with regard to any and all relevant FAA and/or DOT regulations.
  • Ensure policies, standards and guidelines are being followed company-wide.
  • Manage Drug & Alcohol vendors (collectors, TPA, Lab, MRO, etc.)
  • Day-to-day entry of all documentation related to the Endeavor Air Anti-Drug & Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Coordinates with Human Resources Talent Acquisition team members to conduct required pre-employment testing.
  • Process drug and alcohol testing history background checks in compliance of Federal regulations.
  • Maintain random pool for safety-sensitive employees and coordinate with safety-sensitive personnel leadership of random testing; maintains strict confidentiality, and dignity of employees being tested.
  • Correct testing and collection discrepancies.
  • Responds to emergency calls to conduct post-accident, reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, as required per regulations and internal policies. Ensure timely release of results, working closely with lab, Medical Review Officer and vendors.
  • Prepares for and participates in FAA Drug Abatement /and/or internal annual audits of program with emphasis on ensuring sustained superior performance of the program.
  • Supports compliance programs or initiatives that are driven by federal, state, and local laws. Responsible for the production and submission of the annual MIS report.
  • Maintenance of the Master Position Spreadsheet for compliance courses and completion for new and existing employees.
  • Respond to phone calls by providing direction/support to incoming callers regarding drug and alcohol program.
  • Designs, delivers and tracks training regarding the drug and alcohol testing program, policies and procedures; interprets program guidelines and provides training and support regarding program requirements to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local airline industry regulations, rules, standards, and accepted best practices. Maintain positive relationships with all Company departments, employees and vendors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2 years of experience in human resources, business, accounting or related
  • Prior experience with drug and alcohol program administration preferred
  • DER certification is preferred
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Analytical, mathematical, interpretive and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply local, state, and federal rules and regulations accurately and effectively
  • Ability to handle demanding deadlines and changing priorities in an often stressful work environment. Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and able to work with all levels of an organization
  • Availability by phone and ability to respond via phone and/or in-person to emergencies after business hours
  • PC proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Ability to conduct presentations to large numbers of people
  • Lawson experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Exempt, Full time
  • 5-20% travel may be required
  • Due to the nature of 24/7 operations, the individual in this position will be required to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on as needed basis. Can involve long periods of sitting. Computer work, in a typical office environment, subject to critical deadlines.
  • May be required to wear facial masks, take safety measures, or work remotely as necessary and as dictated by safety standards to help protect self and others in the workplace.
