Duties * You will be responsible for the training and development of the OSHE department workforce. * You will act as a central point of contact for department administrative support, including instruction updates, travel, budgets, IT, security, records management, and building management. * You will supervise up to 8 subordinates potentially consisting of Safety and Occupational Health Specialists, Environmental Engineers, Industrial Hygienist, Environmental Protection Specialist, Emergency Management Specialist and other support staff. * You will manage the planning, development and execution of all Department Training and Administrative Programs. You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. * This position requires work onboard ships. * This position requires the ability to climb ladders. * This position requires work in confined spaces. * This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques in the assessment, administration or improvement of Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental training and administrative programs to ensure educational adequacy and accomplishment of objectives.
