Summaryย 

Createsย electricalย designย solutions forย aircraftย interiors,ย including wire routing,ย harnessesย and equipment installations,ย ensuring Fit, Form andย Functionย to meetย customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements,ย budgetย and project schedules using Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools.ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

  • Creates electrical installation design solutions forย aircraftย interior, including wire routing, harnesses, andย equipmentย installationsย using Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools, ensuring Fit, Form and Function.ย 
  • Creates a drawing list of assigned wireย and / or electrical equipmentย installationsย for project level STC.ย 
  • Selectsย materials forย electricalย installationsย based onย electrical requirementsย and materials specifications. Evaluatesย trade-offs in materials, composites, coatings, and other selections to best meet designย objectives. Worksย with materials suppliers and material testing when needed.ย ย 
  • Ensuresย electricalย designs meet customer criteria, qualityย standardsย and FAA requirements.ย 
  • Understandsย Bills of Materials, assembly concepts, fabrication specifications.ย 
  • Adheres to budget and project schedules.ย 
  • Provides design guidance and feedback to other engineering personnel.ย 
  • Provides liaison engineering supportย to resolve build and installationย issues.ย ย 
  • Interfaces with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Stress, Manufacturing, and Certification.ย 
  • Maintainsย regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.ย

Summary of Education, Experience & Certificationย 

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) inย Aerospace or Electrical, minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย Aviation background andย aircraftย interior experience preferred.ย 

Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.ย 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilitiesย 

  • Ability to checkย electricalย engineering drawings for Fit, Form and Function.ย 
  • Strongย Computer Aided Drafting/Designย skills usingย AutoCADย and/or Inventor.ย 
  • Three dimensionalย (3D) design/drafting skills are preferred.ย 
  • Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards.ย 
  • Proficientย in installation drawings,ย harnessย assembliesย and the installation of electrical equipment.ย 
  • Understands wireย diagrams,ย schematics, system blockย diagramsย and topologies.ย 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.ย 
  • Ability to work independently andย cross-functionallyย as part of an established and growing team.ย

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $124,000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
