Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer is looking for a Proposal Specialist in Ballwin, MO for one of the largest telecom providers in the nation. They will be working on the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) program (a government subsidized program that will bring high speed fixed broadband service to rural homes and small businesses that lack it) and the E-Rate program (government subsidized program in which public schools & libraries bid for Request for Proposals (RFPs) for telecommunication services). The proposal specialists will have to validate the bids by analyzing: the address, the services and requirements (can their company provide those services?), the risks, etc. They will have to request site surveys through Salesforce so the Construction team can assess the fiber construction and costs. They will then partner work with a sales rep to game plan a response to the bid. If they want to respond and move forward with the bid, the Proposal Specialist will create the template for the RFP. This role will require data entry skills and good communication skills. This role will be performed 100% in office in Ballwin.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1+ year of Experience with Data Entry

Proficient Excel skills

Excellent attention to detail.

Must be able to communicate with stakeholders

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Research background

Experience with RFPs, bids, or contracts


Compensation

$20/hr to $25/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
