Job description

Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center located at 1 Medical Center Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services for:
    • General, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, ophthalmologic, plastic, and cardiac surgeries
    • GI, radiology, MRI, cath lab, and ECT procedures
  • Perform pre-operative evaluations and intra-operative anesthesia management
  • Manage:
    • Airway (basic and advanced)
    • Regional, local, and general anesthesia
    • Invasive monitoring (arterial lines, central lines, PA catheters)
    • Acute and chronic pain management
  • Provide anesthesia support for:
    • ICU patients
    • PACU issues
    • Emergency airway management
  • Respond to consults at bedside or clinic as needed
  • Provide on-call coverage:
    • Weeknights
    • Weekends
    • Federal holidays
  • Be available by phone within 15 minutes and on-site within 60 minutes while on call
Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Active, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (ABA preferred)
  • AHA BLS & ACLS (current)
  • DEA license
  • NPI
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
