Full-time Visiting Staff Anesthesiologist positions are available for international, board-certified anesthesiologists in our growing academic department. These positions are for periods of two to three years.

Successful candidates will be anesthesia and critical care professionals who are seeking work in a vibrant academic department environment in the US. They will have a track record of clinical training in internationally recognized programs and evidence of exceptional project leadership in the field of perioperative quality and safety. The international quality and safety staff anesthesiologists will provide clinical care, teach our residents and participate in our immersive operations and research programs aimed at creating a world-class experience for our patients. In addition they will be considered for admission into the prestigious Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety course at Harvard Medical School.

More than 40,000 cases per year are attended at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center including neurosurgery, major vascular, thoracic, cardiac, solid organ transplant, ambulatory, and obstetric anesthesia. In addition, the Department has a substantial role in critical care and pain medicine.

Staff Anesthesiologists hold a concurrent appointment at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with credentials and experience.

This role is an employment model position with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. (HMFP). We offer an exceptional compensation and benefits package as well as call incentives

Pay Range:

$410,000 - $440,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
