Team Overview

The AI Governance Analyst role sits within the Technology Risk & Compliance function and focuses on governing how AI is used across the organization. The role is responsible for coordinating AI risk assessments, maintaining visibility into AI use cases, and ensuring alignment with governance frameworks, privacy expectations, and emerging regulations. This role will report to the Technology Risk and Compliance Sr. Director. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the AI risk assessment process, maintain a global AI assessment template and coordinate updates with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the AI inventory, reviewing incoming entries for accuracy and make updates as necessary
  • Facilitate annual reviews of AI Inventory
  • Produce regular reports for committees and service ad-hoc requests from management.
  • Maintain AI governance procedures
  • Support the development and delivery of AI governance training, associate engagement, and awareness activities
  • Assist with global AI governance projects as required

    Required Knowledge and Experiences

    • Working knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework to help ensure alignment to leading practice and regulatory requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in risk management, governance, privacy, compliance, or related functions
    • 2+ years of experience leading and coordinating governance forums and working groups
    • Relevant certifications in AI governance, risk, compliance, privacy or ethics


    Required Technical Skills

    • Experience in deploying and monitoring AI agent workloads to create efficiencies across governance processes
    • Understanding of Privacy and emerging AI laws to ensure alignment with governance activities
    • Ability to translate complex concepts into practical guidance
    • Experience working collaboratively with Third Party Risk Management, Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal functions

    Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $131,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
