Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite at our spacious 5000 square foot facility in Chattanooga, which features specialized areas for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our center is characterized by a welcoming atmosphere that promotes healing, featuring advanced rehabilitation equipment and a layout optimized for patient comfort and efficiency. Here, you will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that emphasizes teamwork and shared success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and limitations, ensuring personalized care plans that cater to individual needs.
  • Manage an efficient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, which allows for focused, quality interactions and treatment.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality interventions that enhance range of motion, strength, and mobility in diverse patient populations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment strategies, incorporating manual therapy techniques, exercise protocols, and patient education.
  • Monitor treatment progress through regular evaluations, maintaining thorough documentation of patient care using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.
  • Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, addressing both physical and emotional challenges associated with recovery.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes for patients.
  • Promote preventative measures and healthy lifestyle choices, enhancing the overall physical well-being of clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions, ranging from post-surgical recovery to injury rehabilitation. The clientele may include athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, individuals seeking treatment for chronic pain, and older adults working to regain functionality and independence. Your role will be critical in helping patients regain their mobility and confidence through tailored rehabilitation services.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Tennessee is necessary.
  • A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques alongside exceptional competency in developing exercise protocols tailored to diverse patient needs.
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
Preferred Experience

We seek candidates with at least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Familiarity with treating diverse patient populations and a commitment to continuous learning will be strong assets in this role. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a track record of effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
