Job Opportunity: Cheese Packaging Operator

We are currently seeking a Cheese Packaging Operator to join our dynamic team. Primary Responsibilities:

As a Cheese Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in the packaging and preparation of cheese products. Your primary responsibilities include handling cheese blocks weighing between 200 to 300 pounds and ensuring they are properly bagged, sealed, and packaged.

Overview:

  • Carefully place cheese blocks into plastic bags.
  • Seal the cheese blocks securely.
  • Package the sealed cheese blocks into boxes and add straps to secure packaging.
  • Neatly stack the packaged cheese on pallets.
  • Transport pallets to the staging area using a stand-up forklift.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cheese Labeling: Expertly number and label our exquisite cheese blocks as they journey through the Vilutis production line for bagging.
  2. Stacking Mastery: Put your precision to work by making sure that our cheese boxes are not only correctly numbered but also expertly stacked when they are placed on pallets.
  3. Sanitation Stewardship: Take on the responsibility of maintaining the pristine condition of our Vilutis Room. You'll have a specific list of duties to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for our cheese production.
  4. Product Check Expertise: You'll be conducting specific product checks as required, meticulously following the paperwork guidelines to maintain our quality standards.
  5. Cheese Sampling: Showcase your attention to detail as you pull cheese samples and correctly label products for testing, ensuring our cheese meets the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:

  • You should be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is a must.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug check.
  • You must be capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • A strong willingness to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Though not required, having the following experience will be a bonus:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday from 4 am to 12:30 pm with rotating weekends.

Compensation:

Your journey begins with training pay starting at $19.10 per hour, with the potential to reach $21.60 per hour after mastering all skill levels and experience.
