Senior Google Media Buyer

Job description

About Brand Bolt:
Brand Bolt is a 9-figure portfolio of leading skincare and women's health brands seeking a dynamic Copywriting Director who excels equally in direct response copywriting and project management. This role demands a strategic thinker who thrives on structure, accountability, and measurable results-ensuring our copy and creative engine runs efficiently and effectively.
About the Role
Brand Bolt is looking for a senior, hands-on Google Ads media buyer to own and scale paid acquisition across established direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands.
This is not an account-management or oversight role. You will personally build, launch, optimize, troubleshoot, and scale campaigns inside Google Ads. We are looking for someone who has operated at meaningful scale, understands direct-response ecommerce, and can turn performance data into decisive action across media, creative, and funnels.
The right person combines deep platform expertise with strong commercial judgment. You know when to scale, when to cut, what to test next, and how to identify whether a performance issue is coming from the campaign, creative, offer, landing page, or broader funnel.
What You'll Own
  • Own the day-to-day strategy, execution, optimization, and scaling of Google Ads campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Demand Gen, Display, remarketing, and other relevant Google campaign types.
  • Build and maintain effective account and campaign structures, including keyword strategy, search-term analysis, match types, negative keywords, audiences, bidding strategies, budgets, and creative assets.
  • Monitor performance and budget pacing closely, making fast, well-reasoned decisions to improve efficiency and unlock additional scale.
  • Develop structured testing plans across campaign types, bidding strategies, audiences, creative, offers, and landing pages.
  • Analyze performance beyond the ad platform, using the full customer journey to diagnose problems and identify growth opportunities.
  • Translate performance data into clear creative direction, including new angles, hooks, concepts, formats, and briefs for copywriters, designers, and video editors.
  • Partner closely with creative and conversion teams to improve the connection between the ad, landing page, offer, and checkout experience.
  • Work with analytics and technical teams to validate reporting, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure campaigns are optimizing toward reliable conversion data.
  • Oversee Shopping and Performance Max execution, including campaign structure, asset-group strategy, audience signals, and collaboration with the team responsible for Merchant Center and product feeds.
  • Maintain clean, organized accounts and document major tests, decisions, results, and learnings.
  • Communicate performance, insights, risks, and next steps clearly to the broader marketing team.
  • Stay current on Google Ads product changes, automation, bidding developments, AI capabilities, and emerging acquisition opportunities.

What We're Looking For
  • Deep, current, hands-on expertise in Google Ads across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Demand Gen, and Display.
  • Proven experience personally managing and scaling at least $500,000 per month in Google Ads spend. Experience above $1 million per month is strongly preferred.
  • A strong track record running purchase-focused campaigns for direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands-not primarily lead generation, local businesses, or B2B.
  • Experience in health, wellness, beauty, skincare, or supplements is strongly preferred, but exceptional ecommerce experience in another consumer category will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of direct-response economics and the relationship between acquisition cost, conversion rate, average order value, customer value, revenue, and profitability.
  • Advanced knowledge of campaign structure, Smart Bidding, budget allocation, keyword and search-term strategy, audience strategy, creative testing, and profitable scaling.
  • The ability to distinguish between media, creative, offer, landing-page, and tracking problems-and recommend the right next action.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to turn campaign data into useful briefs and testable ideas.
  • Comfort working across Google Ads, analytics platforms, and internal reporting sources while partnering with specialists on technical implementation.
  • Excellent analytical judgment, attention to detail, organization, and written communication.
  • A proactive operating style: you identify problems and opportunities early, take ownership, and do not wait to be told what to optimize.
  • Fluent professional English and the ability to maintain meaningful overlap with US business hours.

What Success Looks Like
  • Campaigns are managed with speed, discipline, and clear reasoning.
  • Profitable campaigns scale without sacrificing efficiency or account quality.
  • Testing is structured, continuous, and produces actionable learnings.
  • Creative and landing-page teams receive specific, data-backed direction rather than generic requests for more assets.
  • Performance issues are identified early and addressed with clear action plans.
  • Reporting is accurate, concise, and focused on decisions and next steps.

Why You'll Like Brand Bolt
  • Collaborate with a top-tier marketing team that values pace and performance.
  • We're fully remote, so you can spend more time doing what matters
  • Take a pivotal role in launching campaigns seen by millions.
  • Enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of a remote work environment built on trust and accountability.
  • Receive competitive compensation and generous performance-based incentives.
  • Open to candidates worldwide who can reliably overlap with US business hours

Application Requirements
Along with your resume, please provide one or two anonymized examples of Google Ads accounts you personally managed. For each example, include:
  • Approximate monthly spend
  • Ecommerce category and business model
  • Google campaign types used
  • The performance challenge or growth objective
  • The actions and tests you personally led
  • Measurable results and the period over which they were achieved
  • Please be clear about what you executed personally versus what was handled by a team or agency.
