Job description

Progi is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer to join its Business Intelligence team.

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Coordinator, you will contribute to the development of modern analytics solutions that transform data into meaningful business insights. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, design high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports, and build scalable semantic models using Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will also help evolve Progi's BI practices by promoting automation, data quality, and visualization best practices.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and key business performance indicators.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design and develop interactive reports using Power BI, Power BI Paginated Reports, and Power BI Embedded.
  • Migrate legacy SSRS reports to Power BI Report Builder.
  • Develop data transformations within Power BI and Dataform on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Design scalable, efficient, and maintainable data models.
  • Leverage BigQuery datasets to support reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and Data Engineers to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
  • Configure and monitor automated data refreshes and cloud-based reporting pipelines.
  • Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing reports and dashboards.
  • Document data sources, data models, calculations, and transformation logic.
  • Train users on Power BI solutions and promote self-service analytics.
  • Provide technical and functional support for reporting solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of BI standards, tools, and best practices.

What You Need to Apply

  • Experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Report Builder, and Power BI Embedded.
  • Experience working with Google BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Storage, Dataform, and Cloud Composer (or equivalent).
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Good knowledge of the DAX language.
