Successful candidates are self-directed, detail-obsessed, and eager to take problems from question through to solution.
The Pricing Data Analyst is a fully onsite role in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and automate pricing templates and margin reporting, reducing manual work and future-proofing existing processes.
  • Develop and maintain SQL/BigQuery queries and pipelines to deliver clean, reliable pricing and cost data.
  • Perform order- and SKU-level margin and landed-cost analysis - tariffs, duty/HTS rates, freight, and shipping components - to ensure pricing supports profitability targets across regions and currencies.
  • Quantify the impact of price and cost changes (raw materials, freight, tariffs/duty, etc) and track results after changes go live.
  • Monitor economic and cost drivers, proactively flag when changes require pricing updates, and recommend actions to leadership.
  • Maintain and improve regional pricing logic and templates
  • Provide scenario modeling for cost changes, competitive pressure, customer programs, and economic shifts.
  • Support quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc pricing updates, plus budgeting and forecasting related to pricing and cost trends.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance to gather accurate cost inputs and validate pricing assumptions.
  • Identify data-quality and process issues, then recommend and implement improvements to pricing accuracy and workflows.
  • Prepare reports that highlight margin performance, pricing risks, economic impacts, and recommended actions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or similar); MBA a plus.
  • 3-5 years in a data analyst role, cost, financial, or, pricing or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (writing queries, joins, aggregations); experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including building and maintaining complex models, lookups, and calculators. This is a modeling- and data-intensive role.
  • Ability to interpret tariffs, duty/HTS codes, freight and logistics charges, and raw-material cost inputs.
  • Familiarity with R or Python for automation and scripting preferred; experience automating recurring reporting (scheduled jobs, scripting) is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy across many concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, in-office, deadline-driven environment with limited direction.
