Job description

About the Role

As our Marketing Operations Specialist, you’ll help scale one of Neighbor’s most important growth channels: Google Maps. This role is highly execution-focused and will involve setting up, managing, and optimizing Google Maps pins at scale in partnership with Neighbor hosts.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Google Maps Pin Setup: Work directly with Neighbor hosts to create and maintain Google Maps pins for their listings.
  • Pin Quality & Compliance: Ensure pins follow best practices and Google guidelines, including accurate categories, descriptions, photos, service areas, and business details.
  • Pin Optimization: Improve pin quality and performance through ongoing optimizations (photos, descriptions, categories, attributes, etc.).
  • Operational Scaling: Help build repeatable processes to scale pin creation and optimization across thousands of listings.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance metrics (rank, impressions, actions, calls, clicks) and report on learnings.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least one year of work experience in a customer-service-driven position.
  • A track record of detail-critical work where accuracy mattered, whether in a job, internship, or school.
  • Experience managing a high volume of work while staying organized.
  • Able to follow a process closely while spotting ways to make it better.
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets and quick to learn new tools.
Nice to haves
  • Experience with Google Business Profile, Google Maps listings, or local SEO.
  • Experience at a marketplace or multi-location business.
  • Built AI workflows or used AI tools to speed up repetitive work.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics (impressions, clicks, rank, conversions) and reporting.
