About the Role

The Senior Paid Search Strategist oversees the performance, strategy, and fulfillment of AMBA's paid search (PPC) program across platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, ensuring alignment with the company's overall marketing objectives. This role involves managing campaigns, analyzing data, and fostering partnerships to maximize paid search effectiveness, as well as mentoring peers, collaborating, and working to uplift the team. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 


Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive paid search strategies across platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing), including campaign structure, keyword strategy, and bid management.


Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key paid search performance indicators (e.g., CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, Quality Score) to assess the effectiveness of campaign strategies and implement improvements to optimize ROI. 


Content Collaboration: Partner with creative teams, designers, and external vendors to produce engaging ad copy, extensions, and landing page assets that resonate with target audiences and improve Quality Score. Working and mentoring with peers to achieve high levels of success. 


Budget Oversight: Manage paid search budgets and bid strategies, ensuring efficient allocation of spend and cost-effectiveness of campaigns. 


Campaign Fulfillment: Manage the fulfillment of paid search campaigns, including keyword research, negative keyword management, ad copy testing, and landing page alignment, ensuring compliant, timely and effective execution. 


Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and analytics teams to ensure alignment of messaging, goals, and initiatives across all touchpoints. 


Market Research: Stay informed about paid search industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging PPC technologies (e.g., automated and AI-driven bidding) to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. 


Reporting and Insight:R Prepare regular paid search performance reports, offering actionable insights and recommendations to optimize results.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid search/PPC management. 
  • Proficiency in paid search platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager). 
  • Strong understanding of paid search fundamentals, including keyword match types, bidding strategies, Quality Score/Ad Rank, and how SEM relates to SEO and other marketing channels. 
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A data-driven mindset with a knack for interpreting analytics to improve results.  
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques. 
  • Google Ads certification required; Microsoft Advertising certification preferred.
