Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technology consulting or similar in the federal government space.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with the Shipley Capture Process.
  • Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Agile, PMP, and other related program management certifications.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Google Public Sector Capture team, you will be responsible for leading all technical aspects of long-term public sector capture effort from initial lead through RFI responses, technical team identification and leadership, technical briefings, solution architecture, risk management, technical writing, technical peer reviews, verbal clarifications and presentations, etc. As a capture TPM, you are responsible for all requirements decomposition and documentation for requirements traceability matrices, solution/system architecture and design, technical approach and concept of operations development, solution lists of materials, technical team identification and leadership, prime team fire-walling of technical resources, etc. This role is largely done at the keyboard but does include occasional customer- and prime-facing work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical response for Request for Proposals (RFP), owning and validating all technical requirements.
  • Design integrated architectures using Google Cloud products to meet complex client needs.
  • Identify product gaps and source third-party solutions to ensure 100% requirement fulfillment.
  • Build and document comprehensive technical designs and architectural diagrams.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams (including Sales Engineers, Principal Architects, etc.).
