Job description

GHS is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect to design, lead, and deliver enterprise cloud transformation initiatives for our clients. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers define their cloud strategy, architect scalable solutions, and guide successful implementations leveraging Google Cloud technologies. Experience architecting solutions that integrate cloud, security, data, AI, and managed services capabilities in enterprise environments, particularly within regulated industries


This role combines deep technical expertise with strong client-facing consulting skills and requires the ability to lead complex cloud migration, modernization, and application transformation projects.


Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

  • Design end-to-end cloud architectures leveraging Google Cloud services and best practices.
  • Develop cloud adoption roadmaps, landing zones, governance frameworks, and operating models.
  • Lead cloud assessments and provide strategic recommendations for modernization initiatives.
  • Define architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures for enterprise environments.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Architect scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
  • Design solutions across compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics, and security domains.
  • Lead workload migrations from on-premises, AWS, Azure, or other platforms to GCP.
  • Support containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and operational readiness.

Client Engagement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and executive presentations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architecture designs.
  • Prepare solution documentation, architecture diagrams, proposals, and statements of work.

Security & Governance

  • Design secure architectures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement Integrate identity and access management, security controls, monitoring, and compliance frameworks into solution architecture.
  • Establish governance, operational processes, and cloud financial management practices.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to consultants, engineers, and project teams.
  • Mentor technical team members on cloud architecture principles and best practices.
  • Contribute to practice development, service offerings, reusable assets, and thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud consulting, or solution architecture.
  • 5+ years designing and delivering public cloud solutions.
  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise-scale Google Cloud solutions.
  • Experience leading cloud migration and modernization projects.
  • Consulting or professional services experience is strongly preferred.
