Job description

Google Cloud Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:
Doing DevSecOps well means development and automation. Making tasks repeatable and efficient across multiple environments requires infrastructure as code, scripting, and sometimes writing applications. Our cloud service broker team is looking for a developer with a strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, containerization, and networking to make new cloud capabilities available in secure environments.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Experience with building software solutions for secure government cloud environments

  • Experience designing and automating the provisioning of GCP resources using IaC and automation tools

  • Experience working with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, or Cloud SQL

  • Experience with code management tools such as Git or GitLab in a collaborative team environment

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, VPCs, private connectivity, and TLS

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience with software engineering, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with software engineering

  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification within 30 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience building, securing, and optimizing workloads specifically on GCP

  • Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining cloud governance controls such as GCP Organization Policies and IAM best practices

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
