  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.

  • Experience managing internal or customer-facing projects to completion, and working with engineering teams, sales and partners.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of cloud security architecture or security engineering experience.

  • Experience in Cloud Security delivered within the context of customer facing roles.

  • Experience in web application security, pen testing, active security monitoring, and forensics.

  • Experience securing Kubernetes and containerization workloads.

  • Expertise in network/OS design, cryptography, access controls, and developing automated security tools and frameworks.

  • Knowledge of security principles.

As a Security Consultant, you will provide excellent technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring customers receive the best of what GCP can offer and you will ensure that customers have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications on GCP. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features. You will require deep technical security experience, industry experience and will have high visibility at the executive levels of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), their staff, and GCP executive leadership.

  • Design and implement secure Google Cloud architectures through technical deep dives, strategic recommendations, and direct deployment.

  • Create and deliver best practices, tutorials, technical blog posts, sample code, and presentations tailored to both business and technical audiences.

  • Manage executive stakeholders across customer organizations to build consensus and deliver successful outcomes on Google Cloud.

  • Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and compliance standards across various industry verticals.

  • Collaborate effectively via video conferencing and travel in-region (up to 30%) for client meetings, technical reviews, and delivery.
