Job description

Truck Driver

We are looking for a new Truck Driver at the Eau Claire - Hope Bargain Center location! This role will be focused on pick-up and delivery of second-hand goods to Hope Gospel Mission customers. The position is ideally full-time. The best candidate has excellent customer service skills and is comfortable driving a box truck; if this is you, please let us know by submitting an application!

Position Objective: professional pick-up and delivery of product to Hope Gospel Mission's customers.

Experience, Education, Requirements:

  • Previous driving experience preferred
  • Approval of insurance company for driving mission vehicles
  • Current driver's license
  • Represent Hope Gospel Mission with a professional image
  • Strong interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to connect relationally with a variety of people
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to navigate using Google maps and Smart devices

Summary of Responsibility – Illustrative, not all inclusive:

  • Work with a drivers assistant from the Vocational Training program
  • Lift heavy objects on daily basis
  • Use safety precautions
  • Assist customers with donating items
  • Collaborate with remote locations for transporting of product for recycling and processing
  • Assist in maintaining intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community and code of conduct.
  • Cross-train to assist departments as needed
